The after-dinner mint has been a sweet tradition since After Eight® first launched in 1962. With its classic blend of rich chocolate and refreshing mint, it brings elegance to dinner parties and special occasions – and this cocktail, inspired by After Eight, is here to carry on the tradition. It’s a creamy blend of Irish cream and mint liqueur topped with fresh mint and served in a chocolate-rimmed glass. They are simple to make, quick to shake and offer a twist on tradition mixed with a touch of bartending flair!
Our After-Eight cocktail is a grown-up dessert all by itself, but if you’re looking for something to serve with coffees, try our fudgy and fresh After Eight® brownie – or try turning a chocolate brownie sundae on its head by using mint choc chip ice cream instead of vanilla. Serving suggestions
For the perfect serve, a Martini glass is ideal, but if you present this in a whisky tumbler or coupe glass, it will look just as impressive.
For a decadent complementary pairing, serve your cocktails with an After Eight® Brownie for extra choc-mint kick! Or for a bold contrast, serve it with creamy blue cheese and charcoal or rye crackers.
